What is this?

This website is built on top of the Complete HSK Vocabulary project — an open-source effort to provide comprehensive, accurate word lists for the Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (汉语水平考试), the standardized Chinese proficiency test.

It covers both HSK 2.0 (6 levels) and HSK 3.0 (7 levels, with level 7-9 combined), giving you a single place to look up any word, browse by level, or quiz yourself.

What data is included?

Every entry includes:

• Simplified and traditional characters
• Multiple transliteration systems: Pinyin, Bopomofo, Wade-Giles, Gwoyeu Romatzyh
• Dictionary definitions (cleaned and deduplicated)
• Radical, frequency ranking, and parts of speech
• Classifiers / measure words (where applicable)
